Get Festive With These Holiday Cocktails

‘Tis the season for celebrating with friends and family, and we can’t think of a better way to do that than by sharing a cool, refreshing drink. Whether you’re serving a large party or small gathering, these cocktail (and mocktail) recipes serve up a warm kick of cinnamon, tang of cranberry, and delightful creaminess of vanilla sure to please everyone. The key ingredient to these holiday drinks? Love—and a whole lot of ice.

Sparkling Cranberry Mimosa & Mocktail

Ready to mix up a quintessential holiday drink? Sparkling mimosas are the holiday spirit poured in a glass. This drink is for you if you like classic cranberry with a kick of citrus and pineapple, and if you like to keep the alcohol light. For a drink that all ages can enjoy, substitute the sparkling wine for ginger beer or club soda. The same fizzy flavors—without the alcohol.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1 oz. pineapple orange juice
  • 3 oz. sparkling wine
  • 3 frozen cranberries
  • 1 orange twist
  • 1 mint sprig

Instructions

  • Combine the cranberry and pineapple orange juice in a champagne flute
  • Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a few cranberries, orange twist and small sprig of mint

That Cherry Packs A Punch (Non Alcoholic)

What’s a holiday party without a big bowl of punch that everyone can enjoy? This fruit-tastic blend is easy to make ahead of time for stress-free holiday hosting. Freeze the fruit beforehand for a flavorful punch that stays cool and refreshing all party long

Ingredients

  • 1 16-oz. jar maraschino cherries
  • 3 limes, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, halved and thinly sliced
  • 6 spiced hibiscus tea bags (such as Red Zinger)
  • 1 12-oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed (strained, if desired)
  • 2 liter ginger ale, chilled
  • 2 12-oz. cans club soda, chilled
  • 1/4 cup grenadine

Instructions

  • Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Drain the cherries; reserve the juice in the refrigerator (you should have about 1 cup juice). Spread out the cherries, limes, and oranges on a baking sheet and freeze until solid, at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
  • Bring 4 cups of water to a simmer in a small saucepan. Remove from the heat, add the tea bags, and let steep for 5 minutes. Discard the tea bags and let the tea cool, then refrigerate until cold.
  • When ready to serve, pour the tea and maraschino cherry juice into a punchbowl. Add the orange juice concentrate and stir to combine. Add the ginger ale, seltzer, and grenadine. Add the frozen cherries, limes, and oranges just before serving.

Raspberry Limoncello Prosecco

Lemoncello. Raspberries. With prosecco in it. This tart, fizzy libation is the perfect refresher to keep the party going. It’s not too heavy, not too light, and just right on the bubbles. Stunning.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups prosecco, chilled
  • 1 cup limoncello liqueur, chilled
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 6 sprigs fresh mint

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher, whisk together prosecco and limoncello
  • Serve over raspberries, garnished with mint, if desired

Let's Get That [Ginger] Bread Martini

Full disclosure: this cocktail is basically a dessert in liquid form. A silky, creamy, gingerbread-y, boozy dessert that is the ultimate finish (or start!) to a holiday meal. Our advice: don’t skip on the Kahlúa here, the coffee liqueur adds a flavor dimension that will knock your gingerbread’s buttons off.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. Baileys Irish Cream liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. Kahlúa liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. gingerbread syrup
  • 1/2 scoop vanilla ice cream, softened
  • Whipped cream
  • A scoop of ice

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients with ice in a shaker
  • Shake until smooth and pour into chilled glass
  • Top with whipped cream if desired
